Learning While Aging

I have a NOOK Tablet but I don’t like it, what am I going to do?

I asked the same question more than one months after I got a NOOK Tablet 16GB.

The answer is: root it.

I bought a 16GB NOOK Tablet sever months ago, after using it for more than a month, I found I am very unsatisfied. The NOOK App Store has very few interesting apps. So if you just want to have a eBook reader, NOOK is a good choice, but if you need a good entertaining tablet, stay away from NOOK Tablet. With the same amount of money you spent on purchasing the NOOK Tablet, you can get a Google Nexus 7 or any other Android tablet, because you will have access to the Google Play store to download/purchase all kinds of interesting and useful apps.

Anyway, back to my NOOK Tablet, since it was more than 30 days, I could not return it for refund, so I had two options: root it or keep using it even though it sucks. Finally I decided to root it so it will become an Android tablet. If you have a NOOK and you don’t like it, and if you don’t care about voiding the factory warranty, then I suggest you to root your NOOK Tablet.

Here is the post I followed to get my NT rooted:

The ROM I chose in the step II of the post is Jelly Bean CM10. Even though CM10 is only in alpha 0.60 at time of writing, it is quite stable.

HTH.
